Avi is a dedicated co-founder with a strong academic background, holding a bachelor's in music education and a master's in educational leadership. Currently pursuing her PhD in educational leadership, she combines her passion for music and education as a voice and piano instructor. Avi is also the co-founder of Mariachi Margaritas where she plays guitar and sings beautifully.  Additionally, Avi serves as the TSC Music Program Administrator where she plays a crucial role in enhancing music education.

Yajahira Garcia is the Office Manager at San Benito Music Academy and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts. With a deep passion for music, she enjoys teaching guitar, ukulele, and piano to students of all ages. Yajahira is also a performing member of Mariachi Margaritas, bringing her talent and energy to the stage. In her free time, she performs at a local coffee shop—combining two of her greatest loves: music and coffee.

My main goal is to help aspiring musicians reach feats they never thought possible. I have been playing the violin for 17 years and I still continue to learn and discover new things about my instrument to this day. Even though I’ve been teaching music for over 4 years now, I actually graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science. However, music was always where my heart was, and it was always there in my life in one way or another. In my free time I like to write music, and I greatly enjoy singing. When time permits, I perform shows in a band where I sing (…and scream), and we cover different genres of music.

Hello! My name is Valery and I am a student at UTRGV. I'm studying Music Education with a concentration in voice. I'm hoping to earn a Bachelor's degree, and eventually a Masters degree. I teach piano and voice at SBMA and am a part of the ACDA chapter at UTRGV's Brownsville location. I enjoy reading in my downtime and hanging out with my friends and family. 

Hello! my name is Jenna Agven. I am currently pursuing my bachelors degree in business management and technology while also pursuing my real estate license. I have developed a love for music through my years of playing in mariachi groups and I am currently committed to the Texas Southmost College’s mariachi. I teach violin and I enjoy teaching all ages and seeing my students progress into strong musicians.

Hello! My name is Erasmo Martinez and I am currently pursuing my degree in Vocal Music Performance. I have been singing and playing piano since I was in middle school and have always wanted to teach since elementary. I have a collection of instruments including a piano, ukulele, electric bass, harmonica, a small steel tongue drum, and a kalimba! Here at SBMA, I mainly teach piano and will teach many more instruments to come (hopefully)!
My hobbies include music composition/production, practicing, playing video games, and being addicted to ice cream.

Kari is a dynamic co-founder with a bachelor's degree in music education. She is very thankful to SBCISD for giving her the opportunity to start the Orchestra program in the school district where she serves as the Head Orchestra and Mariachi Director. As a co-founder of Mariachi Margaritas, Kari plays the guitarron, showcasing her passion for traditional music. She also enjoys playing drums for fun in a band called Mix Tape and teachers violin at the studio, contributing to the growth of aspiring musicians.

Hello my name is Fabiola and I am currently a student at UTRGV studying music education with a concentration in trumpet. I also currently teach piano, guitar, ukulele, and trumpet at San Benito Music Academy. 

I enjoy spending time with dogs and trying out new hobbies. My current hobby is puzzles, but we will see about that next week.

Hello! I’m Fernando De Leon. I am currently pursuing my bachelors degree in Music Education with a concentration in Bb clarinet. In my spare time, I love to play the clarinet and read non-fiction books. I teach drums, voice, and piano!​​​​​​​​​

Hi! My name is Harley! I’ve played the viola for over 15 years and I teach violin here at the academy! I’m currently seeking a music education degree at UTRGV!

I love classical music as well as musicals and punk rock. I also compose from time to time. I enjoy reading fantasy and horror novels as well, and I’m a huge gamer nerd.
